Modern Vivekananda


How  long will we keep singing the tune of the long gone Great Swami Vivekananda who was responsible to the renaissance of the Sanatana Dharma in the Indian youth. Why does it seem like we as a population only seem to only recognize someone  once they are dead?

Yes, Swami Vivekananda was a brilliant statesman. Had the clarity of thought. Had the strength of a great leader to lead the renaissance of Sanatana Dharma in India and its introduction to the west. But he is dead now. Its about time we start recognizing the living Vivekanandas to be a part of a similar legacy. The attacks on the Dharma have been around since time immemorial. Its not new. But we have to keep fighting. The most basic of our responsibility to our children and future of society.

Time to wake up to the living Swami Vivekananda's of Modern India. One such modern Swami Vivekananda in my view is Swami Paripoorananda Swami. His knowledge, his grasp and his vision for the modern renaissance rival that of Swami Vivekananda.

It is time for us, as Indians, to wake up to this reality and support the efforts of this great man. This modern Rishi of India. This modern Sage of India.

Its about time I blog on "What differentiates us from an animal". The question each and everyone of you need to answer for yourself. Are you just an animal.

Let me tell you, science is clear about that:  A resounding YES.

It is a shame if you accept that and continue to live like one.

I reject the notion and so does Sanatana Dharma.

Entropy and the concept of Yuga in Sanatana Dharma

One of the most common ideas on time in the Sanatana Dharma is the concept of Yugas. As far as I know there are 4 Yugas (which also possibly repeat themselves), but in general the four of them are : Satya Yuga Treta Yuga: SreeRama Dwapara Yuga: Sree Krishna Kali Yuga And if you read about these yugas in any of our scriptures, be the Puranas, or the Bhagwath Geeta, the Bhagavatham, but there is a strong agreement in every school of thought regarding the yugas.
