Animal Sacrifice traditions
Recently I heard for the first time that there is a tradition in Nepal where they cull hundreds of thousands of animals in the name of "sacrifice". WHAT THE F***?!!! I am not sure where these traditions take root from. These traditions surely were part of ancient vedic Brahministic rituals in the past but that has changed over the millenia. The interpretations of these rituals is more symbolic than literal. I am horrified at what happened there in in Nepal. I condemn it and am ashamed of such a tradition being followed with no thought given to it. I have no further words. At the same time, I dont understand what the the meat eating population of the world is horrified about? Please dont have double standards about this. More than 10 times this number of animals are culled EVERY DAY of the year to fulfill your desire for a "tasty" meal.
