Spirituality is nothing but the result of religious skepticism

I've just scribbled my thoughts that just came for the past 40 mins...  i'll clean it up later when have time...but try to follow the logic and let me know where i am completely off or faltering.  There sure is a lot to clarify below..but a nice read nevertheless I think.

Post beings here:

you see the thing is no one in today's world especially has the time to go over everything out there. Even if they did, there is a good chance they will go insane. even if they don't they might lack the intelligence to put it all in to context.

A realist says he will believe only empirical evidence. this pursuit of empirical evidence is all nice and good and as good as  and as entertaining to someone like me as is Kim Kardashian showing her ass on national TV.

The issue for most ppl other than this small minor percentage of ppl is that they all recognize the only inevitable in front of them. And that is death. And it is human nature to worry about it. What is beyond that veil? And that is what drives ppl to go toward religion. Until science can empirically prove there is nothing beyond, which they cannot they will not be able to remove the fear of death from ppl.

life is limited. even if u can extend life to 150-200 yrs..it is still limited. immortality is an impossibility and meaningless really (different discussion). so this fear will not go away. you might say many ppl in europe do no associate with any religion..that doesn't mean they dont fear death that just means that the existing frameworks or understandings to deal with thsi problem with available religion has left them disillusioned, they dont see how abrahmic religious doctrines with all those holes solve it for them. coz to an inquisitive and educated mind mere "belief" is a phenomenally hollow argument. Especially with glaring holes of the problems of free will, age of the earth/universe and the facts of evolution flying directly in the face of the popular versions of these religions.

ask a scientist why he wants to know..he says for adventure... really? is that the only way one can experience adventure and awe? unless they can answer ppl definitively abt the problem of death, most ppl will not follow them except to make a pay check or for entertainment purposes. Coz trust me, I love all these discoveries, its terrifically the most entertaining part of my life today to read abt them and watch all the informative discussions and documentaries on youtube. But at the end of the day I need to deal with this problem of the inevitable. The only inevitable. That I know for a fact is true for everyone, they admit it or not. The modes of entertainment just differs. For some its Kim Kardashian's ass, for some its the visuals of a supernova, for some its playing and following cricket.

So, will science ever be able to empirically prove/disprove what is beyond death? May be..maybe not. Do any of us have an unlimited amount of time to get to that d ecidion point? NO. Then What are you real options now?

1. Do nothing. Live and die like an animal experiencing " awe", entertaining ourselves, experiencing "adventure". All these experiences  come and go. experiencing +ves and negatives. if this makes you comfortable.. do it. just dont let science get in to the hands of the powerful who will and are hell bent on destroying planet earth and threaten our very existence as beyond animals.
2. Believe in the religion you are born in to. and hope that just believing will "save" you. i say if that makes you comfortable do it. except of course you have to ignore the glaring holes in these philosophies and "truths" mentioned above. And when you do ignore them, you also fall in to the trap of violence that is established and used by these doctrines throughout history.

3. Eliminating these faith based books becomes easy because of established science. Its a slam dunk. I am not even sure why there is so much debate regarding all this. these "perfect" books have glaring holes and falsified scientific theories if read literally. OF course a different discussion blog would be: If we dont take these books literally and interpret them some other way, I have deduced a few things personally with limited knowledge that they all are sayng the same thing that the Upanishads have said a millenia before these religions were born/written/conceived. But as I said, its a different discussion. And in this case All of the religions, at least the major ones are saying the same thing as already recognized by the lesser popular versions of these, notably the sufis in Islam, a few teachers in christianity like St. Francis of Assisi, etc.

4. if u r already born in to "Hinduism", well again there are so many to chose from. Its mind boggling.

But here again, let science be the support to hold on to the ladder of spirituality that answers the most difficult questions of all regarding consciousness, death, nature of reality etc. Spirituality I think is far ahead of science and answers questions that science is clearing backing off of from today. The thing is, there is a fundamental different in how empirical evidence is gathered in spirituality. going inside. Looking inside. Deep meditative states. etc.
But i digress.

Double slit experiment, quantum entanglement are the two most important clues to realize the nature of reality. That what we see and perceive is an illusion. And that there is the all encompassing fabric of the cosmos that transcends the universe that is not two but one. does this seem like a massive jump? Scientifically..may be. inferential ...not so much. Again, how long are you willing to wait? How long CAN you really wait? Your life is still limited. It is now known that through meditation and yoga, one can control the flow of thoughts and access level of subconscious that hint at the nature of reality. It is now known that through these practices one can transcend pain. Its only is possible now that one can transcend desires or wants. we cannot transcend the absolute needs of the body (needs further explanation). it also just further needs to be deduced through understanding of consciousness and meditative states that when you kill your ego the nature of reality shines forth and we experiences the reality, not as the illusory particles that pop into existence when a conscious entity looks at it but in this state the electron no longer appears. the language used in the upanishads is EXACTLY this. we just use the words of gold and chain for the understanding of the general public.

if anything all this points to this: at least when you start mediting and doing yoga over the years based on your level of consciousness and how well you do it, you will start seeing the updates. that is the dare. It took decades and billions of dollars to get a hint at the god particle. we can't really see it, things this mysterious take that long. what did we gain by the god particle? may be just more power to destroy ourselves. and then once we are dead we haven't really gone anywhere. but if u spend the same time meditating morning and evening for 1 hr (hedge your bets) perhaps you will discover these things yourself. isn't that pragmatic? Isn't that empirical? The experience of love can only be described in words and chemicals..maybe..but unless one experiences it you can never know what that REALLY means. The same is true for "god realization" u see that is the term that we have always used... god realization, we didnt say...to see god. to be with god etc in the most esoteric language. realization is an experience that cannot be proven or understood by external empiricism, but to be experienced by one self. so skeptics, need to stand true to their own philosophy...go do these experiments yourself and see for your self. do not trust anyone. in the end... if there REALLY is nothing, no one has lost anything...coz its already proven that in those meditative states you can transcend pain and even hunger for anything beyond the basics. And meditative experiences also give you the same awe and adventure. Just ask someone who has been meditating.
